Search the GHIN Database

The GHIN database: a research-based evidence tool

Note: Access to most journal articles is restricted to users who have a User Name and Password

The database is the outcome of a systematic search for research on three HIV/AIDS Global Health Initiatives (GHIs): the Global Fund, the World Bank’s Multi-country AIDS Project (MAP) and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The rationale for the database is that search engines throw up well over 30 million hits for GHIs, of which very few provide useful evidence on their effects; and peer-reviewed journals are too slow to capture up-to-date evidence on this fast developing field. Click for information on the criteria for inclusion of a study in the GHI database.

Keyword Search

See key theme search below for words and terms to use in keyword search

SIMPLE - Search 1 word. Example: MAP

OR - This keyword allows the user to use the "OR" Boolean expression. Example: 2006 or 2007

AND - This keyword allows the user to use the "AND" Boolean expression. This is the default mode. Example: 2006 and MAP. This works the same without the 'and'. Example: 2006 MAP
